Admissions & Career Advisory

The myth is that top schools and firms only want top consulting, investment banking and MANGO-tech CVs. The truth is they want a convincing story.

A limited advisory practice for ambitious professionals moving careers across industries, functions and borders. Built by someone who navigated one of the most AI-disrupted global hiring cycles in recent memory without a brand-name feeder employer, and still secured 10+ interviews, two private-market investment internships and two visa-sponsored job offers.

MANGO: Meta, Apple, Nvidia, Google, OpenAI. The 2026 successor to the FAANG tech acronym.

The script for someone from India's public sector does not usually include a top European MBA, a seat at a tier-one strategy firm, or a project leadership role at a Silicon Valley AI start-up. And the market did not make it easier: this was one of the most AI-disrupted global hiring cycles in recent memory.

What carried me through was not a CV that read like the tier-one signals recruiters are trained to look for first (top strategy consulting, bulge-bracket investment banking, MANGO tech or Big 4 audit). It was a credible, well-positioned story that explained where I had been, what I had learned and why I was the right person for what came next.

Most non-traditional candidates have a story just as compelling. They have simply never been taught how to tell it in a way admissions committees and recruiters can hear. That is the gap Crestwise exists to close.

You don't need a brand-name consulting, banking or tech employer on your CV to win admits, scholarships and offers from the world's best programmes and firms. You need to tell your story in a way the people on the other side of the table can actually hear.

The Crestwise Thesis
Receipts

Four scholarships. One admit. No brand-name consulting, banking or tech employer on the CV.

I applied as a non-traditional candidate from Indian public sector banking, through an AI-disrupted global hiring cycle, and still came away with scholarships at four of Europe's most respected programmes, two private-market investment internships and two visa-sponsored offers. The outcomes below are what a well-positioned story can achieve.

About the Founder

Why Crestwise exists.

Four years ago, as soon as I completed my GMAT, I knocked on the doors of the established admissions consultancies, thinking the hardest step was done. I was wrong. The applications stage turned out to be the worst of all. Most of the consultancies I approached either turned me away, charged exorbitantly, or told me to apply only to Indian business schools, because my profile from Indian public sector banking plus a six-month career gap meant, in their view, that I would not receive a single admit abroad. Their business model depends on protecting the acceptance rates they advertise.

I did the opposite of what they suggested. My first admit came from ESADE, followed by admits and scholarships at Imperial, SDA Bocconi, Warwick and Alliance Manchester. The same people who told me that quitting a secured job was the worst decision I could make also would not have predicted two private-market investment internships at Bluewater and Ashington during the MBA, or offers from tier-one strategy firms after.

The consultancies were not wrong about the odds. They were wrong about positioning. The right story, told clearly, is what makes a CV stand out from thousands that read the same. Same experience, different framing, entirely different outcome.

That is what gave rise to Crestwise. Tailored support for ambitious candidates from every kind of background, built by someone who has walked the route herself.

Who This Is For

A practice built for serious applicants.

The practice is deliberately limited. I'd rather do a smaller number of applications properly than a volume of them indifferently.

This is for you if

  • You're applying to top UK, European or US MBA and masters programmes
  • You're switching industry, function or geography and need the pivot framed properly
  • You're targeting merit scholarships and want to compete for funding
  • You want a thought partner who will push back, not just agree
  • You want structured, written feedback rather than platitudes

This is not for you if

  • You want someone to write your essays for you
  • You're hunting for the cheapest option on the market
  • You want generic templates and group webinars
  • You expect guaranteed outcomes (committees decide, not advisors)
  • You aren't willing to put in the work your application requires

What You Can Expect

Three principles this practice is built on.

Honesty over flattery

If your profile isn't competitive for a target school, I'll tell you. If your essay buries the lede, I'll say so. You're paying for a critical eye, not reassurance.

Your voice, your essays

I provide structural feedback and revision suggestions. I don't rewrite essays. Admissions committees detect ghostwritten work, and your authentic voice is your strongest asset.

A limited practice

I take on a small number of clients each round so each application gets proper attention. If I'm at capacity, I'll say so and point you elsewhere.
